The Idea, CNC
machining centre has been specifically designed for carrying out moulding,
mortising, boring and numerous other operations
on chair and table components and on elongated wooden workpieces in
general. As is
the case with the Spider , this unit provides enormous flexibility
due to the position of the working head in relation to the work surface.
The nature of the portal structure is such that it provides great
sturdiness, which results in working precision.
The working head has
a limited overhang, which means that it is able to mould without any
imperfections, even when removing large quantities of material.
Compared to the
Spider, worktable and operating head on the Idea have been rotated
through 90° ; this means that the workpiece rests on a horizontal worktop,
with the working head above it. Idea is the only machine specifically
designed for tables and chairs having this particular configuration.
The Idea is
able to machine 5 faces of piece in a single step, without having to
reposition it manually or expensive rotating tables. This allows
productivity to be increased. |
